Dual-Credit at OCS
Ovilla Christian School offers dual-credit classes to high school students in partnership with Dallas Baptist, an intentionally Christ-centered university whose focus is to please God above all else and to develop Christian servant leaders through a transformative educational experience. Beginning sophomore year, this dual-enrollment program allows students to earn college credit in conjunction with their high school coursework.
On Campus, In Real Life
We offer 31 dual-credit classes (92 credit hours) between Fall and Spring semesters. Students may begin taking dual-credit classes during their sophomore year.
75% of the classes are online only. The remaining classes are offered face-to-face on our campus by a DBU professor or one of our two OCS teachers, who are also adjunct professors for DBU.
Students in dual-credit courses will have continual guidance in order to navigate such questions as: What credits will transfer? What classes most benefit my college plans?
